The Founder: A Creative Journey

Raised in Bowie, Maryland, in the heart of Prince George's County, I've always believed fashion is more than clothing. It's storytelling. My journey has taken me from designing independent collections shown during Washington, DC and New York Fashion Weeks to living in Paris while earning my MBA in Fashion Management from the International Fashion Academy of Paris (IFA Paris), after receiving my B.A. in Fashion Merchandising from Howard University. Those experiences shaped not only my eye for design, but my appreciation for craftsmanship, culture, and the power of thoughtful details.

Over the years, I've worn many creative hats: Fashion Designer, Creative Arts High School Teacher, Sewing Instructor and Program Manager for a Private Sewing School, and now Full-Time Stylist at AKIRA. Each chapter taught me something different, from constructing garments by hand to understanding people, building confidence, creating memorable client experiences, and translating ideas into something tangible. Along the way, photography, videography, and creative direction became just as important to me as the garments themselves. I don't simply enjoy making beautiful things. I love bringing entire concepts to life.

Today, I'm returning to where it all began. Fall 2026 marks the relaunch of my own creative studio, bringing together every skill I've developed over the past decade under one brand. Fashion, styling, creative direction, design, photography, film, education, and storytelling all have a place here. My goal isn't simply to create products. It's to build experiences, inspire confidence, and leave behind work that feels timeless, intentional, and deeply personal. This is only the beginning.
